index.php around line 95 "../footer.php" typo
line 95 include "../footer.php"
should read "footer.php" because empty cart function results in error msg.
also, on previous post, removing 'product' table from my database resulted in good install. I found line 18 in config.php confusing because I thought I had to both create the db and the table.
any chance of product categories in future versions?

Product categories will be added to future versions, however at the moment I don't know when the next release will be.
